Shinken Pink is the title given to one of four retainer families that have served the lord/lady of the Shiba clan, Shinken Red, throughout the generations in the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. There have been eighteen Shinken Pinks since the formation of the Shinkengers.

  • Shinken Pink Ranger Key is Mako Shiraishi's personal Ranger Key and what became of her powers after she along with the rest of the 34 Super Sentai sacrificed their powers to end the Great Legend War
  • This key along with the majority of the Ranger Keys were collected by the Red Pirates and later used by the Gokaigers. The Shinken Pink Ranger Key was mainly used by Ahim de Famille (Gokai Pink), who used it to fight as Shinken Pink.
  • After Zangyack were finally defeated, the Gokaigers gave the Ranger Keys back to their rightful owners. It is presumed that Mako received her key and became Shinken Pink once more.

    • This form of Shinken Blue appeared in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger Returns: Special Act when the Shinkengers became the "Forest Animal Sentai Shinkenger" within his own revolving lantern illusion. This Forest Animal Sentai Shinkenger was led by Shinken Blue instead of Shinken Red and possesses the Super Shinkenger jacket and the Inroumaru on the sword. This lasted until he remembered that he was not the leader of the Shinkenger, bringing the end of his illusion.
      • The fact of Shinken Blue being the leader in the forest animal sentai bit is possibly a reference to the fact that his Ryuu Origami is a dragon, and dragons in Japanese culture are among the wisest and mightiest animals.

  • The Shinken Blue key is one of the five water-element Blue Ranger Keys that are used by Gokai Blue for his Five-Blade Style Blue Slash Final Wave attack, which was used once against Action Commander Zodomas. This attack involved summoning manifestations of the five Rangers to attack the target, with Shinken Blue being the second to go.
  • After Zangyack were finally defeated, the Gokaigers gave the Ranger Keys back to their rightful owners. It is presumed that Ryunosuke received his key and became Shinken Blue once more.

    Publication Information


    Shinkengers Based out of the Shiba House that originated from Mount Tsunobue, the Shinkengers use the kanji-based power called Mojikara, translated as Power, which is passed down from one generation to the next. Once becoming a Shinkenger, they must renounce their past lives in order to keep their friends and family safe in case a member of the Gedoushu targets them. The Shiba House's manor is protected by a barrier of the Modikara protect, keeping the Shinkengers safe.

    Early History For 300 years, a squadron of five samurai as ordained by the Emperor of Japan had continually protected the nation from invasion of the forces of the Gedoshu of the Sanzu River. The team had continued their effort for seventeen consecutive generations. It ultimately culminated with Masataka Shiba, the leader of the 17th generation, using a special character to temporarily seal and rip apart Dokoku Chimatsuri, the leader of the Gedoshu forces.

    Shiba House Shiba House is the home of the Shiba clan of Samurai and the secret base of the Samurai Rangers. It is protected by a series of defensive symbols so that evil forces cannot enter. It is not known how long the Shiba House has existed, but it is at least as old as the previous generation of Samurai Rangers, appearing in flashbacks to that time, and it was the home of the Red Ranger and his family, along with Mentor Ji.

    Past ShinkenReds ShinkenRed is a long line of feudal lords that have been ShinkenRed, with the power and duty to defeat the Gedoushu. Shinkengers existed for eighteen generations to protect the world from the Gedoushu, demonic beings from the Sanzu River.

    • Takeru Shiba / Shinken Red XIX : Is a young man descended from feudal lords, referred by his vassals and servants as Lord. He was raised since childhood by Hikoma Kusakabe to act the role of the 18th head of the Shiba House after his father gave him the Sisi Origami.
    • Ryunosuke Ikenami / Shinken Blue XVIII : Is a young man who gave up becoming a kabuki actor to answer the call of serving the Shiba House. Due to his parents' upbringing, he is extremely enthusiastic and takes his role as Takeru's vassal seriously.
    • Mako Shiraishi / Shinken Pink XVIII : Is a strong-willed girl who fights for her ideals. She loves children and worked at a kindergarten prior to becoming a Shinkenger.     • Chiaki Tani / Shinken Green XVIII : Is a lazy, irresponsible, selfish, and arrogant rebel. Initially, Chiaki had no interest in becoming Takeru's vassal and often clashed with him. The only reason he even worked with Takeru was because he thought it would be fun and he wanted to protect people.
    • Kotoha Hanaori / Shinken Yellow XVIII : Is a clumsy and gentle girl who worked in a bamboo shop and speaks with a Kyoto accent. Very much a crybaby as a child, she is close to her older sister, Mitsuba, who had been training to be Shinken Yellow. When Mitsuba became ill and unable to serve as Takeru's vassal, Kotoha stepped up to take her place.
    • Genta Umemori / Shinken Gold : Is the son of a sushi chef who mysteriously disappeared prior to the beginning of the series, and a childhood friend of Takeru's. As a child, Genta often meddled in Takeru's training, which annoyed Hikoma greatly. Genta promised to help Takeru become a samurai, and in return, Takeru entrusted him with the Ika Disk.

    • Princess Kaoru Shiba / Shinken Red XVIII : Is the true 18th head of the Shiba House, a position that Takeru was holding in her place. She is referred to by her vassals and servants as Princess.
    • Toshizo Tanba : Is Kaoru's retainer, arrogant and fiercely loyal to Kaoru, he is highly contemptuous of Takeru and, by extension, Hikoma, and demands that the Shinkengers support Kaoru without question.
    • Hikoma Kusakabe : Is Takeru's retainer and guardian. He also serves as the Shinkengers' mentor; it is he who gathered the four vassals when the Gedoushu revived. The Shinkengers affectionately call him Jii, translated as Old man or Samurai. Every year, he gets one day off, which he uses to visit his wife's grave and visit his daughter and granddaughter.
    • Richard Brown : Is a foreigner who comes to idolize the Shinkengers after he is cured of the Yamiororo Poison in Act 7. He approaches Ryunosuke and asks to become his pupil in the ways of bushidō. Although Ryunosuke tries to deter Mr. Brown from becoming a samurai, his attempts fail and Ryunosuke is nearly killed after he must rescue Mr. Brown after a failed attack on Hachouchin.

    Ninnin Girls

    It's been two years since Gengetsu Kibaoni's defeat, and the Ninningers fulfill their promise to return to the dojo in that time period to see each other's progress in getting stronger. Takaharu was the first to return but once entering the dojo, several Jukkarage and three Yokai busted out from it with an explosion. As it seems that the Kibaoni Army has been revived, Takaharu defeats the Jukkarage, while the rest of the Yokai were defeated by the newly arrival of Yakumo, Nagi and Kinji.

    When a Gashadokuro rises, Fuuka and Kasumi reveal themselves and instead of transforming into Ninningers, they change into idol outfits called Ninnin Girls, defeating the Gashadokuro in a moment. As fans storm them, Yakumo and the other male Ninningers escort them to the dojo, where they discovered that the whole attack was an illusion created by the Mirage Technique. The Ninnin Girls Fuuka Igasaki and Kasumi Momochi operated while the rest of the Ninningers were out doing other things with their life. The Ninnin Girls used a special transformation shuriken, not to transform into Ninningers but into 'magical girls' with a ninja twist.

      • The Ninnin Girls' default forms are "magical girl" forms. They use their Ranger forms for alternate attacks only. Their Ranger names are "Ninnin" and then the English name of their color. They are mentored and managed by Sakurako Igasaki. Some time after their tenure as fighting idols began, the Ninninger boys return from their individual travels and question what they are doing. Sakurako instigates a battle between the Ninnin Girls and the remaining Ninningers. She utilizes the MidoNinger shuriken and gives it to newcomer Luna Kokonoe, who she dubs NinninGreen. To even the numbers four against four Tsumuji Igasaki joins them, dubbing himself NinninRed.

    NinninGreen of the Ninnin Girls, who later reveals herself to be possessed by Kyuemon Shingetsu Kibaoni, as MidoNinger of the Ninningers. With the blank green Nin Shuriken, now housed in the Igasaki home, it is later used by Sakurako Igasaki to recruit a new "Ninnin Girl" to fight alongside Kasumi Momochi and Fuuka Igasaki against the "Ninnin Boys" for right to be the Igasaki ninja team.

    StarNinger Kinji Takigawa

    StarNinger knows as Kinji Takigawa, is the Sixth Ranger of the Ninningers. Kinji Takigawa was born in America, to a family of Yokai Hunters, living with his father Junji and older brother Reiji. When he was still young, they were killed by the Western Yokai Wolf Man, and thus he aimed to honor them by becoming a stronger Yokai Hunter.

    • During the events of Shinobi 27, Kyumeon used the power of the Goton Yo Shuriken to infuse Kinji with the power of a Yokai so he could stop Wolf Man. While Kinji left before the process was finished, some of the Yo-Power still remained in this body. After being scratched by Wolf Man, more Yo-Power was added due to the Yokai's ability.     History MomoNinger, who is known as The Smart Ninja, the Pink Ranger of the Ninningers. She is nicknamed Sister Kasumi by Yakumo. As a member of the Ninnin Girls, she is named NinninPink. Kasumi is a very reserved girl with something of a genius in her. She loves science and is very astute with mechanics, but she is unable to read between lines or take a hint. Hence there are times in which, in spite of her looks, she can be really sharp-tongued.

    • Ninjutsu Expertise : Being trained to be a ninja for many years, she is skilled in ninjutsu and Shuriken Ninpo.
    • Enhanced Reflexes : Since Kasumi as well is a trained ninja, her body reflexes also maximized.
    • Body Flicker : She was able to move at an almost untraceable speed in a puff of smoke.
    • Camouflage Technique : By covering herself in a cloth, Kasumi can camouflage herself in an area.
    • Disguise Technique : Kasumi can disguise herself as innate objects she desires. Once her cover is blown, her face would appear.
    • Body Replacement : She is able to put a straw dummy in her place to fool her enemies.
    • Replacement Technique : Learned from NinjaRed, Kasumi/MomoNinger can use an enhanced body replacement technique, which replaces the user with a convincing replica of the original.
    • Shadow Pin Technique : Pins her target's shadow for other Ninningers to strike. This technique can be used with a Ninja Ichibantou but if using Shurikens, it would require more than one to pin the target
    • Mirage Building Technique : Creates a fake building as an illusion. Used to fool Youkai Kasabake into entering her family's dojo, which was actually a cliff.
    • Shuriken Ninja Art : Thanks to her Nintality inherited from Yoshitaka Igasaki, Kasumi can perform a wide variety of abilities through ninja techniques in addition to those accessed using the Ninninger arsenal.
    • Beautiful Representation Technique : In an example of Quick-Change, Kasumi assumes the attire of a sharply-dressed lawyer, used when facing Youkai Futakuchi-onna in a court of law.
    • Engineering Skills : As Kasumi studies engineering at her college, she had knowledge in several kinds of engineering. This ability turned out to be helpful at certain times, as she can build gadgets for the team to help them deal with certain Youkai.
    • Craftsmanship : When the Ninningers discovered what appeared to be the End Shuriken, Kasumi crafted a fake, externally identical, shuriken to be switched with it.
